- Regarding Pt. 2:
"I was about 12 years old, I was at this (?) church camp and there used to be this bag of shit they'd give you that... there would always be a bunch of nude stuff. And Robert sent me this picture - drew this picture of me walking around naked with a bucket on my head, and he told me that he loved me. And this song sorta takes place there anyway."[1]

"For a lot of these songs, I was able to lock myself in a room and allow my mind to completely let out anything it wanted without me worrying too much about what anybody was gonna think. And I think that a song about God was inevitable, because of my upbringing, of the intense experiences I had growing up—going to these crazy Church camps where everything was very open. "A lot of us were really lost at that point in our lives and we were all pretty scared. So I wrote that song for everybody to sort of say, you know, everything's going to be alright, don't be afraid. Most of my songs were recorded for friends, a friend would be depressed or having a hard time and I'd write a pop song for them to make them feel better."[4]
